Trophy Cougar Hunt for one Hunter on the Quinlan Ranch In Northern New Mexico
About the Event
Cougar Hunt In Northern New Mexico
Mid-December 2021 through Mid-February 2022
One hunter will have four days of opportunity to tag a new Mexico cougar, You'll be pursuing mountain lions behind a pack of experienced hounds. Hunters may use their preferred legal method of take, Firearm or Archery. Pursuing these big cats behind hounds is one of the best hunts of which you can attend. This is best done with a little snow on the ground, so the winner will need to be on call. The hunt is for four days, which may not end up being consecutive. The outfitter is willing to work with your schedule, but those who have flexible schedules will have a greater opportunity for success.
As soon as the snow falls Outfitter will be locating Tracks, Outfitter will contact winner and arrangements and schedule will be made to peruse the cougar. New Mexico G&F Regulations prohibit the outfitters from turning out dogs and treeing cougar without licensed hunter being present, thus timing is crucial.
New Mexico Game and Fish Regulations has several regulations that apply specifically to Cougar Hunting, Winner must be familiar and abide with all regulations, including “Mandatory Cougar Identification Course” Please refer to page113 – 116 of the NMG&F Rules and Information Booklet http://www.wildlife.state.nm.us/home/publications/ The length of this trip may be extended at a cost of $500 USD per day. Additional hunters may be added for $7,500 USD, and non-hunters may be added for 500 USD. Included: Transportation during the hunt,
Caping, skinning, and salting.
