Contributions to Conservation 
&
Getting Youths, Veterans and First Responders in the Outdoors

 

Dallas Safari Club New Mexico works closely with the DSC Foundation to distribute funds raised by DSCNM to various organizations across the US to serve the mission of DSC. The DSC Foundation funds grants from revenue from DSC Conventions, from funds raised from events both conducted by the Foundation and the DSC Chapters, and from direct contributions from individuals and entities that support and passionately believe in the mission of Dallas Safari Club.


Working through the DSC Foundation, DSCNM has been able to secure an additional grant for the Philmont Scout Ranch totaling $10,000 in 2023.
This is above and beyond the grants that DSCNM has made as a direct result
of fundraising in New Mexico.



Dallas Safari Club New Mexico made a $5,000 donation to help Operation Phoenix Outdoors achieve their mission to take Army Veteran and Albuquerque native, Erik Schei and his family on a mule deer hunt in New Mexico in November of 2023. Operation Phoenix Outdoors picked Erik and his family due to the struggles and sacrifices they have made for the defense of our great Nation. Dallas Safari Club New Mexico and Operation Phoenix Outdoors together, can say thanks through action and bring Erik and others like him back into the outdoors regardless of their limitations.


Dallas Safari Club New Mexico made a $2,000 donation to
Dallas Safari Club Utah. This donation was used to help DSC Utah Chapter in their local efforts. DSC Utah is one of DSC’s newest chapters.


Dallas Safari Club New Mexico made a $3,500 donation to the 
Western Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies. This donation was used by WAFWA for expenses incurred during their recent meeting in Santa Fe New Mexico. Western Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies (WAFWA) and it's supporting foundations, Foundation for Western Fish and Wildlife (FWFW) and Species Restoration Foundation (SRF), represents 24 states and Canadian provinces, an area covering nearly 3.7 million square miles of some of North America’s most wild and scenic country, inhabited by over 1,500 premier wildlife species. Since 1922, WAFWA’s goal has been to support sound resource management and build partnerships at all levels to conserve wildlife for the use and benefit of all citizens, now and in the future.


Dallas Safari Club New Mexico made a $3,000 donation to
Ione Randleman to help fund Aztec New Mexico Kindergarten Student Annual Fishing Day in March 2024. Ione, her family and other teachers at Lydia Rippey Elementary School have hosted an annual fishing day for the Aztec Kindergarten students for the past 10 years. This contribution will be used to cover most of if not all the fishing pole/tackle combo sets for the Aztec Kindergarten students!


Dallas Safari Club New Mexico made a donation of pipe and cable worth $23,000 to the BLM Socorro District. The pipe & cable were used to make enclosures in order to protect man made wildlife water sources.


Dallas Safari Club New Mexico made a $2,000 donation to Patrick Simms to help in efforts of stocking a pond in Southern New Mexico with fish. Patrick has been a supporter of DSCNM since it’s inception. He came to us with a conservation project that he would like to see funded and DSCNM stepped in to help.


Dallas Safari Club New Mexico made a $4,100 contribution through
DSC Foundation to the Congressional Sportsmen's Foundation. Since 1989, Congressional Sportsmen's Foundation's mission is to work with Congress, Governors, and State Legislatures to protect and advance hunting, angling, recreational shooting and trapping within the United States. Among other work, Congressional Sportsmen's Foundation provides support and guidance for three caucuses that operate at both the Federal and State level: Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus, Governors Sportsmen’s Caucus, and National Assembly of Sportsmen’s Caucuses.


D
allas Safari Club New Mexico made a $6,269 contribution through
DSC Foundation to the Philmont Scout Ranch. This contribution was used to support the wildfire recovery efforts as well as educational opportunities at the Boy Scouts of America’s largest National High Adventure Base.


Dallas Safari Club New Mexico made a $2,000 donation to the 
Wilderness Stewardship Foundation to help in protecting provincially significant ecosystems which goes to a greater good. Support the research and conservation projects necessary to ensure the health of the area for future generations.


Dallas Safari Club New Mexico made a $2,000 donation to the 
Yukon Outfitters Association to help with predator control.


Dallas Safari Club New Mexico made a donation of pipe and cable worth $16,000 to the Gila National Forest Service. The p

Dallas Safari Club New Mexico made a $2,558 contribution through
DSC Foundation to the Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation. SSSF is the national governing body for the Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) and Scholastic Action Shooting Program (SASP). These programs not only provide students from elementary through college the chance to compete in shooting sports, but is also designed to instill young people with a set of personal values and character traits for fair play, compassionate understanding, individual responsibility, sportsmanship, self-discipline, and personal commitment. Qualities that will stay with them throughout their lifetimes, enabling each young athlete to reach his or her full potential in their sport, and life.

Dallas Safari Club New Mexico made a $10,220 donation for the purchase of 76 bales of hay & trucking to the Calf Creek & Hermit's Peak Fire in New Mexico for Wildlife/Fire Relief.

Dallas Safari Club New Mexico made a $5,053 contribution through
DSC Foundation to help Outdoor Tomorrow Foundation achieve their mission to teach outdoor education & to promote and fund conservation of wildlife worldwide. This donation was used to help provide funding for startup costs for five New Mexico school programs.


Dallas Safari Club New Mexico made a $5,000 contribution through
DSC Foundation to Conservation Force. This contribution supports the efforts of John and Chrissie Jackson, founders of Conservation Force, who work with organizations and Wildlife Departments around the world to conserve wildlife and promote conservation through hunting.


Dallas Safari Club New Mexico made a donation of 10,000 feet of 2 3/8" pipe worth
$30,000 to the Gila National Forest Service. The pipe was used to make enclosures in order to protect man made wildlife water sources.
